The Doctor made a dash for the stairs and ran up them. He soon returned with a small silver fob watch in his hand.

"This is it." it was more of a statement than a question. "You want to hold it?"

The Doctor stared at him. The watch... could it... it couldn't be...

"How Would I know...But maybe I hid it for good reason... If its so fantastic being a timelord why would I hide?"

The Doctor's eyes became sad again.

"Because your the master. You knew that if i found you, i'll try to keep you by me, stop you from trying to destroy the universe again. Stop you from trying to kill people." he sighed.

"You were hiding from me."

"The master?" he asked. with that memories came back "Im... Your...enemy?"

The Doctor nodded sadly.

"We used to be such best friends." he smiled a sad regretfull smile, remembering their childhood. "The academy was where we met. The Rassilon ball was were we last saw each other before something happened." the Doctor looked at Sam, or rather, the Master and sighed.

"It's up to you."

The Doctor handed him the watch, feeling something in the back of his mind but he shook it off.

"It's completely up to you." he watched Sam. "I don't want you to be forced into doing something you dont want to do."

The Doctor's head suddenly seared as the feeling of another Time-Lord Froced it's way into his mind. He reeled back, falling against a small glass table and fell into it, the glass smashing under his back.

He screamed and then was silent standing their his body began to change he couldnt handle it and slumped to the floor

The Doctor heard Sam scream but couldn't move. His head hurt too much and soon he was out cold.

The watch fell to the ground empty. Sams body started to change on the molecular level

Katherine woke up to an empty TARDIS and strapped into the Captain's chair. She managed to get out of the buckles and make her way, unsteadily as she may have been, throught the TARDIS doors.

"Hello?" she called out. She stopped in stunned silence when she saw Sam and The Doctor. Sam was twisting painfully, a siver fob watch on the floor at his feet and the Doctor was laid in glass, evidently, where the glass table had been. She ran to the Doctor's side.

"Doctor." she said, checking his pulse. Strong, erratic but both fine. She pressed her fingertips to his temples and closed her eyes. She saw everything that had happened since she'd been unconsious and then proceeded to wake up the Doctor.

"Please wake up." she kissed him lightly on the lips. "I need you."

Sams eyes opened wide and he sat up looking around "owie" he held his head as all the memories came flooding back. Him as the master he and the doctor then something else. He as sam. happy and simple. The doctor pleading with him. His death. Well a version of him dying.
He stood up and looked at katherine and the doctor. he opened the door to the tardis and went inside to the clothing area

The Doctor woke slowly and found Katherine beside him, his hand held firmly in her grasp.

"Oh, what happened?" he had one hell of a headache.

"Why am i lying in glass?" he looked at Katherine. "And where's the master?"

Katherine pulled the Doctor into the TARDIS and sat him on the chair.

"Who is the master? And what happened to sam?"

The Doctor just sighed and rested his head on the back of the chair.
"You'll find out soon enough"

He changed and climbed the ladder, he was wearing the clothes that are in the dp

The Doctor kept his eyes closed as The master appeared.

"And there's your answer. Sam Metter. A Code Name for the Master." he sounded drained, like he hardly had enough energy to even speak.

"Isn't that right?"
